Autism Training by ASSET

In-Service Training

We provide in-service training for a number of LEAs and Health Authorities across the UK.

In some cases this involves a rolling programme of autism awareness training delivered to all staff, narrowing down to more focussed training for key professionals. In this way we are able to design training that meets the specific needs of each group. This approach is seen by authorities as a very cost-effective way of training staff, and ensures continuity across settings.

Additionally, many schools approach us individually for autism training as part of their inset programmes. Training is usually targeted at specific age groups as the needs of the individual vary at different ages. Typical levels are pre-school and primary-aged children; secondary and FE students; and adults. These can also be combined for a broader audience.

Our education-based courses are largely in tune with mainstream teaching and further courses are specifically designed for special schools.
